Whitby Yacht Club is situated in a prime position at the mouth of the harbour and organises a full racing programme throughout the season. Their website has all the details plus a host of useful local information. You can also check the sea state on their excellent webcam. At the other end of the harbour Coates Marine offers comprehensive brokerage, chandlery and boat maintenance facilities:

The boat is "The Jolly Swagman",  a Hans Christian 43T based in Whitby. Beautifully restored, she is available for skippered day charter.
