Harbour & Swing Bridge Information
Visiting yachtsmen should be aware that entrance to the harbour can be hazardous in certain weather conditions; also access to the marina and the inner harbour is restricted by the swing bridge. Facilities for Sailors
Whitby Yacht Club is situated in a prime position at the mouth of the harbour and organises a full racing programme throughout the season. Their website has all the details plus a host of useful local information. You can also check the sea state on their excellent webcam.
The new Marina building has excellent toilets, showers and changing rooms, whilst at the upper end of the harbour Coates Marine offers full brokerage, chandlery and boat maintenance services:
