We find it fascinating to track the fast changing weather conditions that occur so close to the sea, so we have set up our own station. Our information is uploaded to the website so you can see a full weather report at any time by clicking on the Davis Station Direct Readout link in the column on the left. Our weather data is produced by a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro 2 professional monitoring station linked to a PC running "WeatherLink" software. The anemometer is 26 feet above the ground and the wireless linked, solar powered station is located on the northern edge of Whitby about 200 yards from the sea, 150 feet above mean sea level.
